Off Madison Ave Take 5

There’s a lot to talk about around here. So, we’ll keep it short and sweet with a few highlights from this week.

DBG

First up. We recently launched a brand new website for our client, the Desert Botanical Garden (DBG). Designed and built from scratch, this website now has a new look and feel that highlights the colorful, stunning landscape that makes DBG so special. The new site is now fully responsive so visitors can easily navigate, purchase tickets and view an interactive trail map.

Breaking News: College Football is Back

The public relations team at Off Madison Ave couldn’t be happier this week. The Arizona Organizing Committee landed on the front page of The Arizona Republic business section and homepages of Azcentral.com and KTAR.com, promoting all the various volunteer opportunities to come.

Togetherly

Last Saturday, Amy, Kat and Sara spent the day at Togetherly, a hands-on workshop about content and collaboration. The day was jam packed with new and improved exercises and way too many knowledge bombs to squeeze in just one post. So, I asked them to share their biggest takeaways:

“Who knew you could add structure to a brainstorming session? I loved the exercise where we walked through a more organized and productive way to share ideas in a group. No more shouting out random thoughts or letting the loudest voices dominate. I can’t wait to use this with our team.”

Sara Arnold, Copywriter

“I walked away from Togetherly with a new perspective on how to better collaborate across teams. The exercises during the workshop were incredibly actionable, relevant and easily implemented. I loved that it forced me out of my comfort zone."

Amy La Sala, Public Relations Account Supervisor

“One exercise that was particularly eye-opening was capturing and prioritizing business goals and user goals. It became clear that oftentimes business goals don’t always line up neatly with user goals, and the challenge then becomes finding the best way to bridge and fill in the gaps.”

Kat Menze, Digital Art Director

Breaking Balls at AdBowl 2015

We once again took to the lanes to battle our fellow Arizona agencies at Ad2Phoenix AdBowl. As Breaking Bad fanatics, we got into character and created these one-of-a-kind costumes.“It was a blast. It’s always a good time getting a bunch of weird creatives together to show off their talents. But I still wish I could switch my golf and bowling scores for one another.”

Off Madison Ave Staffer of the Month

For his willingness to always jump in, support our clients and be available for all our creative needs, our staffer of the month for September is Mark Zvonek. Way to Outthink.Outperform.

To get to know Mark a little better, in honor of One-Hit Wonder Day we asked him about his one-hit wonder favorite. Come to find out it’s “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor. This surprised no one.
