Is Email Marketing Still Cool?

Based on a new study, “email marketing will remain a top priority for companies in 2016, 71 percent of companies are planning to spend more time on email production and more than 86 percent report they will increase email marketing budgets,” according to Email on Acid’s2016 Email Marketing Insights Study.

Moral of the story, think hard before you ditch email marketing services anytime soon.

Below, we have three tips for successful email marketing campaigns from our talented Client Services Account Supervisor, Kelley Dilworth.

1. First and foremost, define your goals. Whether it’s revenue growth, newsletter signups or an increase in subscriber base, an email marketing strategy have specific goals and objectives identified. Without an understanding of what you are trying to achieve, how will you measure success? Let alone, continuously analyze and optimize your efforts.

2. Test, analyze and repeat. Always A/B test the subject lines. It’s one of the most efficient ways to see how recipients are engaging with content. Let your audience dictate what is working and what’s not. Best practice is to evaluate this on a monthly and quarterly basis to proactively optimize for the greatest ROI.

3. In today’s mobile environment, email marketing campaigns should always be responsive, ensuring a positive user experience. Additionally, always check that URLs are active, click-to-call is implemented and hyperlinks are embedded.Have any tips to add?
